Ordering
>The first step is getting in touch with me by any of the ways listed on the "Contact Me" page - by mobile phone, email, Facebook or by filling out the Order Form and sending it to me. I would suggest that if you have a query then mobile or Facebook message might be the quickest way to ask a question, but if you would like to place an order then an email or the order form would be best.
All I need from you at this stage are the basic details - your name and preferred contact method, the name of the person whom the poem is for and their relationship to you, the occasion and the style of poem you'd like. We'll discuss presentation, colours etc. at a later stage.
>Once I've received your order, I will contact you within 24 hours to confirm and to ask for more information. At this stage I will know roughly how long the poem will take to complete - the more notice you can give me the better but if you have a short deadline I will endeavour to meet it - and I will already be forming an outline in my mind.
The more information I have to work with the more personal your poem will be. Things like special memories, pivotal moments in the person's life, names of family members, favourite colours, hobbies....
You get the picture.
You can add information at any time - something might occur to you later which you hadn't initially thought of - I can alter the verses accordingly or add an extra verse if necessary.
>When I'm happy that the poem is finished I will contact you again and at this stage we'll discuss borders and backgrounds, the style of presenter you would like and if you have any preferred colours or particular embellishments in mind. If you're happy to leave the decoration up to me that's fine, and I will make sure it's in keeping with the poem itself.
This is also the stage where I will ask you for payment. I will send you an invoice via email giving you the total cost and my payment details.
>Once I've received your payment, I will email you a draft of the poem to make sure you are happy with it and any changes can be made at this stage.
When you're happy with the final draft, I will print it, display it in your chosen presenter and send it to you via 1st class post (unless it's possible to hand-deliver it, in which case you won't be charged for postage).
I will let you know I have posted it so you know it's on its way to you.
And that's it - that's how it works!
